Had the GMC in for a detail service last week, came with a “full service inspection”.

Advisor calls me up and asks if I’m due for an oil change because it’s a bit low on oil.

I tell him the oil life meter says 49% so I wasn’t planning on it for a while.

He tells me I can’t go by that and they recommend every 4,000 miles.

I almost yelled at him and asked why they even have an oil life meter.

GM even has their own oil specifications for use with thier monitoring systems.

Mind boggling.
